Reel Servicing & Repairs
Professional reel service and repairs are carried out by Kevin "K.C" Carpenter ensuring thet you get the optimum performance, protection and longevity that you deserve from your equipment.
Each reel is carefully dissassembled, then parts are brushed clean, metal components are treated to prevent corrosion, worn or damaged parts are repaired or replaced, then the reels are reassembled using the finest oils, greases and lubricants available on the world market today.
There are certain things that you can do to avoid damage, and prolong the life of your reels. Avoid submerging reels in soapy water. (Soap is a degreaser and will disolve the lubricants needed to protect your reel) Back off drag after use and before storing. Wash in warm fresh water. (No soap) Avoid any harmfull spray lubricants. (Dry spirit types, which will degrease, then evaporate to leave your reel unprotected) Maintain proper lubricants. (dont use axle grease or any other grease that you are not sure of)
Incorrect servicing can cause severe damage that will need to be corrected. Often requiring more work than the original service and creating unecessary damage to your reel.
Why not get it done right the first time?
